Mestre is one of the most practical places for shopping on the mainland side of Venice. You can find large shopping malls, Italian department stores, independent women’s boutiques, jewelry shops and beauty stores without crossing into historic Venice.
For tourists, Mestre is especially convenient because most shopping areas are easy to reach by bus, tram or taxi, and prices are often less influenced by the tourist traffic around San Marco and Rialto.

Nave de Vero is the best choice if you want a large modern shopping mall near Venice. It has more than 100 shops and restaurants, including Zara, Primark, Pull&Bear, Bershka, Stradivarius, Calvin Klein Jeans and Tommy Hilfiger.
Beauty and accessories are also well represented, with brands such as Sephora, Rituals, Victoria’s Secret, Pandora and Swarovski. For clothes, shoes, cosmetics and gifts in one place, this is probably the most complete shopping destination around Mestre.
Porte di Mestre

Porte di Mestre is another large shopping center with around 110 stores, a hypermarket and a substantial food area. Shops include fashion, lingerie, cosmetics and jewelry, with brands such as Calzedonia, Douglas, Kiko, Beauty Star and Bluespirit.
It is particularly convenient if you are staying in northern Mestre or have a car. Long opening hours also make it a good option around lunchtime, when many independent boutiques in central Mestre are closed.
Ca’ Mestre

Ca’ Mestre is much smaller than Nave de Vero but has a major advantage: it is right in central Mestre. Its stores include Coin, OVS, Cisalfa Sport, Feltrinelli, Coin Casa, Burato Gioielli and a supermarket.
It is a good place for casual shopping before or after exploring Piazza Ferretto. Clothing, home products, books, sportswear and accessories are all available without leaving the city center.

Coin is a useful stop for travelers who prefer an Italian department-store experience instead of fast-fashion chains. The women’s department carries brands such as Guess, Armani Exchange, EMME Marella, Lauren Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and Sisley.
There are also cosmetics, accessories and home departments. Coin is particularly good for a more polished wardrobe purchase or gifts.

Which Shopping Area Is Best?
For the widest selection, Nave de Vero is the strongest choice. It is the best place for international fashion, beauty, lingerie, accessories and jewelry under one roof.
For shopping without leaving central Mestre, focus on Piazza Ferretto, Via Rosa, Via Mestrina and Ca’ Mestre. This area gives you a good combination of boutiques, jewelry, perfume and department-store shopping.
Porte di Mestre works best if you want another large mall with easy parking and long opening hours.
Useful Shopping Tips
Independent boutiques in Mestre often close for several hours around lunchtime, usually between approximately 12:30–13:00 and 15:30–16:00. Large malls generally stay open continuously, so they are better for midday shopping.
Visitors who live outside the European Union may also qualify for tax-free shopping on eligible purchases. Ask about the tax-free procedure at the time of payment and keep the documents until you leave the European Union.
If you only have two or three hours, stay in central Mestre. If you want a full shopping afternoon with the largest choice of stores, go to Nave de Vero.
